SPRING GROVE- Fannie V. (Kessler) Harrold, 94, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Rest Haven. She was the wife of the late Chauncey A. Harrold. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2009 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 2173 Stoverstown Rd., Spring Grove, with a visitation from noon-1 p.m. The Reverend Dennis L. Weidler will be officiating at the service. Burial will be private in St. Paul's Union Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements. Fannie was born in North Codorus Twp. on April 1, 1915, a daughter of the late Serenus and Hettie (Senft) Kessler. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Stoverstown. Fannie leaves a son, Fred A. Harrold of Manchester; a daughter, Charlene (Harrold) Rohrbaugh of Willow Grove, PA; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and a great, great grandson. She was one of 11 children, leaving a sister, Treva (Kessler) Altland of Spring Grove; and two brothers, Stuart Kessler and Charles Kessler, both of Spring Grove. A daughter, Marlene (Harrold) Kay and a son, James F. Harrold had preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Greater PA Chapter, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
