Fairy R. (Hamme) Seyler

York Fairy Romaine (Hamme) Seyler, 82, passed away Friday, January 5, 2007 at her home. She was the loving wife of James W. Seyler. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on July 8th. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, January 8, 2007 at Christ Lutheran Church, 29 South George Street in York. Funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. at the church, with her pastor, the Rev. Beth A. Schlegel officiating. Burial will be in Manchester Union Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road in York. Mrs. Seyler was born July 27, 1924 in Conewago Township. She was the daughter of the late Charles D. and Elsie K. (Sipe) Hamme. Mrs. Seyler was a longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church of York. One of her favorite hobbies included gardening around her home. In addition to her husband, James, Mrs. Seyler leaves two sons; Jerry L. Seyler and wife Mary E. of York, and Steven M. Seyler and wife Susan McDonald of Elkins Park, and two grandchildren; Ryan L. Seyler of York and Gayle E. Seyler of New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her brother Ralph Hamme, and her two sisters; Miriam Brothers and Viola Hykes.
