RED LION Everett D. Grim, 79, passed away Monday, January 17, 2011 at Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Nancy J. (Ross) Grim to whom he was married for 57 years on February 17, 2010. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Viewings will be held from 6-8:00 PM Friday and 9-10:00 AM Saturday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lebanon Lutheran Cemetery with Full Military Rites provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born March 7, 1931 in North Hopewell Twp. the son of the late Harry M. and Lorena (Williams) Grim, he was a 1951 graduate of Red Lion High School. Mr. Grim retired from the former GTE in 1989 after more than 20 years of service. He was a life member of Steam-O-Rama; a member of Red Lion VFW; and enjoyed bowling, attending auctions, and fishing. Mr. Grim was a US Army veteran of the Korean War where he served in both Korea and Japan. In addition to his wife, Mr. Grim is survived by a son, Donald M. and wife Lorie Grim of Red Lion; three daughters, Deborah Ann and husband Gregory Crist of York; Dianna L. and husband Cliff Yackly of Monticello, FL, and Darlene L. and husband Kenneth Prine of York; ten grandchildren, Jesse, Vince, Jason, Christopher, Karen, Jennifer, Johnathon, Sarah, Ian, and Ashley; and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Marshall. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul (Lebanon) Lutheran Church, 6955 Rippling Run Rd., Felton, PA 17322.
