Evelyn R. Williams

WILLIAMSPORT - Evelyn R. (McCafferty) Williams, 72 of Lycoming Street, died Friday, October 9, 2009 at her home. She was born November 18, 1936 in Williamsport the daughter of Francis E. and Edith R. Morrison McCafferty. Evelyn was married to Clarence R. Williams they resided in Texas for several years and returned to Williamsport after his death in 2004. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting. Surviving are one sister Mary V. Connacher of Williamsport and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Gerald Williams, two sisters Ida Mae Connacher, Virginia Hutchinson and one brother Edward J. McCafferty. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 12, 2009 at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 W. Fourth Street, Williamsport with Rev. Shane L. Kirby officiating. There will be a public viewing from 9:30 to 10:00 at the church. Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery.
