Evelyn Nyahay

DALLASTOWN Evelyn (Sampson) Nyahay, 82, died Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Michael Nyahay, to whom she was married 50 years. A celebration of life service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements. Born April 2, 1926, in Yorkshire, England, she was a daughter of the late Charles F. and Harriet (Bright) Sampson. Evelyn and her husband, Michael, owned and operated Mike's Motel and Campgrounds in Schellsburg for over 30 years. She will always be remembered by the love and affection she gave to others, especially to her family. Mrs. Nyahay is survived by seven children, Barry Nyahay of Volant, Steven Nyahay of Arizona, Jeffrey Nyahay of Martinsburg, Christina Rawls of Dallastown, Michael Nyahay of Johnstown, David Nyahay of Volant, and Elisabeth Nyahay of Monroe, La.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
