Evelyn Mae Miller

Evelyn Mae (Berkley) Miller, 77, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at her home. She was the wife of James A. Miller to whom she celebrated 55 years of marriage. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Paddletown Cemetery, 355 Church Road, Goldsboro (Newberry Twp.) Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born October 26, 1939 in Shrewsbury, a daughter of the late Walter and Stella Mae (Blouse) Berkley, she had worked at Hake's Grocery Store for more than 20 years. Mrs. Miller enjoyed bowling, listening to music at local Fireman's Carnivals and tending to her lawn and flower beds. She attended Dover Bethany United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Miller is survived by a daughter, Tina L. and husband Steve Fletcher of Wesley Chapel, FL; a son, James R. and wife Juanita Miller of Dover; three grandchildren, Melissa Miller, David Markle and Hailie Miller; a great granddaughter, Selina Smith; and a sister, Mary M. Bollinger of Shrewsbury. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Berkley; and a sister, Helen Reheard.
