Evelyn M. (Brandenburg) Arnold

YORK - Evelyn M. (Brandenburg) Arnold, 81, died Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Albert R. Arnold. A viewing will be held from 7:00 - 9:00 PM Friday, February 15, 2008 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. A Graveside service will take place at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Greenmount Cemetery, with her pastor, the Rev. Wanda L. Weidman officiating. A funeral cortege will form at the Carlisle Ave. entrance of the cemetery, at 9:45 AM, for anyone wishing to attend. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Covenant Moravian Church, 901 Cape Horn Rd, York. Born April 23, 1926 in Foxville, MD a daughter of the late Rodger J. and Beulah Marie (Tracey) Brandenburg, she retired in 1993 after 35 years of service as a seamstress. Mrs. Arnold was a member of the York chapter of TOPS; and of Covenant Moravian Church and the Jolly Skipper Youth Group at Bethany Moravian Church. She enjoyed bowling, knitting, crocheting, baking and loved being around her family, especially her grandson, Joshua. Mrs. Arnold is survived by a son, James A. Arnold of Waynesburg; a grandson, Joshua M. Arnold; a nephew, Johnny and wife Sharon Brandenburg; a niece Betty and husband Bill Danelly; a daughter-in-law, Carla A. Arnold, all of York; and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Brandenburg.
