Dillsburg—Evelyn Lucille(Hughes) Wueschinski, 90, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Carlisle Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving daughter and grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 PM, Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 W. Front Street, Lewisberry. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Brian Warner of Churchtown Church of God. A visitation will be held from 1-2 PM, at the funeral home. Burial will be held in St. John’s Cemetery. Born August 16, 1925 in Lewisberry, she was a daughter of the late Bruce and Mary (Bonner) Hughes. Evelyn was a talented and self taught pianist and guitarist with god given talent to entertain and bless the lives of many through her music. She started playing at the age of 14 and in 1980 she became the pianist for a gospel group, the Gloryland Singers for 22 years. She had no formal training in music but wrote numerous gospel songs and holds the copyright to 19. She cleaned homes for families and volunteered at the Dillsburg Thrift Shop for 19 years. Evelyn loved doing crossword and word search puzzles in her spare time, and enjoyed writing in her journal and reading her Bible daily. Evelyn is survived by her loving daughter, Donna Miller and her husband, Ronald of Carlisle; four grandchildren, Tommy Miller wife, Stacy of York Springs, Tammy Minter of Mechanicsburg, Darren Miller wife, Ivy of Va Beach and Tiffany Lenda husband, Tyler of Etters; seven great grandchildren, Landon and Brinley Miller, Daniel, Abigail, Timothy and Luke Miller and Andrew Lenda; one step great grandson, Brody Myers; two brothers, Sidney Hughes and Bruce Hughes wife, Kay both of Lewisberry; three sisters, Dorothy Gerber of Dillsburg, Janice Shank of Wellsville and Gloria Miller of Carlisle and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Marjorie Hughes, Mary Schultz and a sister lost in infancy. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Churchtown Church of God, 351 Old Stonehouse Rd-South, Boiling Springs, Pa 17007
