Evelyn J. (Maul) Freed

YORK- Evelyn J. (Maul) Freed, 74, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. She was the loving wife of the late Glenn E. Freed, who passed away on March 11, 1995 A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, with Pastor Richard B. Starr officiating. A viewing will be from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Freed was born on February 12, 1936, the daughter of the late Albert J. and Pauline (Ward) Maul. Evelyn worked as a Proof Reader for the former Progressive Typographers. Mrs. Freed was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. Mrs. Freed enjoyed word search/fill in books, dog sitting for her children, and watching tennis and basketball. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially cooking holiday meals for them. Mrs. Freed is survived by a son, Timothy G. Freed and his wife, Mary of York; a daughter, Kimberly A. Sensenig of York; three grandchildren, Kaylee S. Sensenig, Steven K. Sensenig, and Thomas C. Freed; and a brother, Albert "Butch" Maul and his wife, Patricia of York.
