RED LION - Evelyn Eileen (Robbins) Brennan, 85, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014 at York Hospital. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. Viewings will be held Friday, December 5, from 7-9 PM at the funeral home and Saturday from 9-10 AM prior to the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born January 5, 1929 in Williamsport, Evelyn was a daughter of the late Herbert Thomas and Florence Helen (Winters) Robbins. She worked as a secretary for Community Progress Council at Planned Parenthood until her retirement in 2010. Evelyn was an excellent seamstress. She would sew anything from bridal gowns to her own square dancing dresses. She was a hard working woman. Evelyn loved her family and took delight in helping raise her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family. Mrs. Brennan is survived by two sons, Matthew Thomas Brennan of Williamsport, and Joseph Edward Brennan and his wife Cynthia of Red Lion; three daughters, Deborah Ann Heaster and her husband Doug of Orem, Utah, Mary Elizabeth Erdman and her husband Doug of Williamsport, and Kathleen Patricia Witham and her husband Timothy of Red Lion; 10 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a sister, Marjorie Ann Starr of York, and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert T. Robbins, Jr. and James L. Robbins and also three sisters, Mildred Corey, Doris M.Grubb, and Elizabeth Grimm. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
