RED LION- EUGENE W. WARNER, 82 died March 22, 2007 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Dorothy G. (Gurr) Warner to he was married for 62 years. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Monday, March 26, 2007 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with the Rev. Richard B. Starr officiating. A viewing will be from 9 to 10 a.m., Monday, at the funeral chapel. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by Dallastown American Legion Honor Guard. Mr. Warner was born July 11, 1924 in Windsor, a son of the late, Roland R. and Ruth L. (Smith) Warner. He was a graduate of Red Lion High School, class of 1941. He was employed with Pfaltzgraff Company for 14 years as a Supervisor and later at Bendix Corporation for 15 years, also as a supervisor until his retirement in 1971. A United States Navy veteran of World War II, he also was a life member of Dallastown American Legion, and a member of Red Lion V.F.W. He was an avid fisherman and loved gardening. In addition to wife, Mr. Warner is also Aungst of York, Jan E. Brown of North Carolina and Marvel Burg of Dover, 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren, one brother, Fred Warner of York and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Cynthia Lou (Warner) Evans, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
