FELTON – Eugene T. “Tom” Devoe, 67, passed away Friday, November 11, 2011 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Joyce A. (Fitch) Devoe to whom he was married 46 years. A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be at 11 AM Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. Viewings will be held Tuesday, November 15 from 6-8 PM and Wednesday from 10-11 AM prior to the service. Burial will be held in Chanceford Church Cemetery in Airville following the service. Mr. Devoe was born on March 31, 1944 in Pylesville. He was a son of the late Otho Devoe and Pauline E. Duncan. He was raised by his aunt and uncle, Charles and the late Lucille McCallister. Mr. Devoe worked as a machinist at General Dynamics in Red Lion for over 40 years until his retirement. Mr. Devoe was an avid hunter and enjoyed camping with his wife at Tucquan Park Campground. His family was very important to him, and also his beloved dog Rocky. In addition to his wife and his uncle, Mr. Devoe is survived by a son, Wayne T. Devoe and wife Audra of Dallastown; a daughter, Robin D. Smith and husband Keith of Red Lion; two grandchildren, Austin and Corey Smith; and a cousin Betty Grove of Delta.
