Eugene R. Crawford

MILL HALL - Eugene R. “Gene” Crawford, 76, passed away, Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the Gatehouse in Williamsport with his loving family by his side. Born in Farrandsville, March 8, 1939 he was the son of the late Harold I. Crawford, Sr. and Helen (Moore) Crawford. He was raisded by his grandparents the late Frank and Laura Mae Moore. He attended Lock Haven High School. Gene served in the Army as a MP. On January 21, 1961 he married the former Barbara A. Wagner. They celebrated 54 years of marriage together. He worked for Textron Lycoming retiring after 33 years in 1999. Gene enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He is survived by his wife; one son James R. Crawford and his fiancé (Rachel VanDyke) of Lock Haven and a daughter Jean Ann (Dr. Felix) DeSio of Sayre. Two grandchildren Rachel (Patrick) Crawford Smith of Lock Haven and Nickolas DeSio of Sayre. One great grandson Landon James Smith of Lock Haven. One brother Harold I. Crawford, Jr. of Mill Hall. In keeping with Gene’s wishes the funeral will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Gatehouse, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701. Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall has charge of arrangements.
