Eugene P. Snyder

YORK- Eugene P. Snyder, 77, of Lower Windsor Township, died Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Kathryn A. (Burns) Snyder. The couple celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on April 28, 2014. A Graveside Service will be held at 2p.m. on Friday, June20, 2014 at Mount Rose Cemetery. Funeral Cortege will form at the main gate at 1:45p.m. Pastor Ron Gantz will be officiating at the service. Full military honors will be provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard at the start of the service. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Snyder was born in Yoe on October 31, 1936, the son of William Hyle and Olga (Snyder) Snyder. He served during the Korean War and the Vietnam War before retiring from the US Navy. He also retired from McCrory’s Distribution Center in York. Mr. Snyder leaves two sons, Lee E. Snyder and his wife Becca of Brogue, and Timothy P. Snyder of Summerville, SC; a daughter, Kathy J. Miller and her husband Jeffrey of East Prospect; three grandchildren, Jennifer L. Raulerson, Emily M. Browning, and Dawn E. Burch; a great granddaughter, Zoey P. Browning; a sister, Sybil Updegraph of Red Lion; and a great nephew, Michael Updegraph.
