Eugene C. Platt

YORK HAVEN- Eugene C. Platt, 91, of Newberry Township, died Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Manor Care Health Services-North in York. He was the husband of Anna J. "Judy" (Judy) Platt, to whom he was married 62 years on September 12, 2009. A Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 16, 2010 at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 W. Front Street in Lewisberry, with a viewing from 1-2 p.m. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York. Mr. Platt was born in Harrisburg on March 8, 1919, a son of the late Albert George and Esther (Hess) Platt. He served in the US Army and retired from the US Army Airforce. He served in WWII during his enlistment in the Service. He then worked for the US Postal service until retirement. Mr. Platt was a member of Etters VFW and Linglestown American Legion.
