Ethel R. (Miller) Flinchbaugh

YORK - Ethel R. (Miller) Flinchbaugh, 92, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Country Meadows- Leaders Heights. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Flinchbaugh, who passed away on September 4, 2010. The couple wed on March 22, 1947 A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 27, 2012 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, with Pastor Daniel J. Nazaruk officiating. A visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Born on July 7, 1919 in York, she was a daughter of the late John W. and Minnie C. (Zeigler) Miller. Ethel’s first job was at the New York Wire Cloth, Co., where she met her husband, Robert. She later was a homemaker for a number of years and also held various food service positions. Her last employment was with Wolfgang Candy Co., from where she retired. Mrs. Flinchbaugh volunteered for the Salvation Army. Throughout her life, she gained much enjoyment in her passion for cooking, baking, gardening, decorating, music and singing. Mrs. Flinchbaugh is survived by a son, Scott Flinchbaugh of Blandon; two daughters, Linda Griesback and her husband, Don of Wrightsville and Carol Uhlik of York; four grandchildren, Sherry, Chris, Zach and Danica; five great grandchildren, Tyler, Alex, Brendan, Jacob and David; and numerous nieces and nephews.
