Ethel Marie (Lippy) Lehr

YORK- Ethel M. (Lippy) Lehr, 81, died on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at York Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Luther H. Lehr, who passed away on April 29, 1999. The couple had been married for 30 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. on Monday, April 26, 2010 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, with her pastor, the Reverend Scott Sager officiating. A viewing will be from 12:30-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Suburban Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Lehr was born on July 29, 1929 in Hanover, the daughter of the late Paul M. and Lula M. (Sandruck) Lippy. Over the years she worked for Black & Decker, Weis Market Bakery, and York Dental Supply, where she retired from. Mrs. Lehr was a member of St. David's United Church of Christ in Hanover. Mrs. Lehr and her husband loved to dance and loved the beach. She enjoyed collecting Fenton ware and jewelry. Mrs. Lehr is survived by three daughters, Maria "Barb" E. Sanchez of Hanover, Marcia A. Yarbro and her husband, Jack of Beaverton, OR., and Janice I. Bentley and her husband, Daniel of American Falls, ID; six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and numerous cousins.
