Esther S. Hoffman

Esther S. "Flail" Hoffman, 91 of Pottsville died at the Pottsville Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Sunday afternoon. Born in Pottsville, November 26, 1916 the daughter of the late Albert and phoebe F. Flail. She graduated from Pottsville High School. Mrs. Hoffman worked for Phillip Van Heusen, Pottsville, she also worked for the Pottsville Hospital. Mrs. Hoffman was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville. She was preceded in death by her husband ClairE. and three brothers Melvin, Walter, and Russell Flail. Surviving is a son Jack A., husband of Barbara Hoffman; a granddayghter Jackie M. Shemanski, Mulenberg, Pa; a grandson John H., husband of Lori Hoffman, Pottsville, PA four great-grandchildren Aaron and Megan Hoffman, Pottsville; and Katie and Eric Shemanski, Muhlenberg, PA.; a sister Lillie Bennet, Mechanicsburg, PA and several nieces and nephews. Services of remembrances will be conducted on Friday, December 14, 2007, at 11:00 A.M., at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Third and Arch Streets, Pottsville, Pa. The Rev. Harold Hand officating. Family and friends may call at the church from 10:00 A.M. to 10:50 in the church Sunday School Room. There will be no calling hours Thursday evening.
