Esther P. Roberts POTTSVILLE-Esther P. Roberts, 102, resident of York Terrace, Pottsville, formerly of Harrison Street, Pottsville, passed away Monday morning at York Terrace. Born in Pottsville on November 18, 1906 she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Mary Dietrich Kerschner. Esther was a 1923 graduate of Pottsville High School. She retired from the former Argo Mills in Schuylkill Haven. She was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Pottsville. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Eagles, both of Pottsville. Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel M. Roberts, who passed away in 1976; her three sons, Elmer, Kenneth and Hubert Roberts; her daughter, Melva Leonard. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Bentz, wife of James, of Branch Twp.; her son, David H. Roberts, husband of Charlotte, of Watsontown, PA; her daughter-in-law, Bernice Roberts, of Schuylkill Haven; her 14 Grandchildren; her 26 Great Grandchildren; her 10 Great Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning at 11:00 A.M. at the Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & West Market Streets, Pottsville. The Reverend James R. Fidler will officiate. Friends may call on Friday morning from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Mount Laurel Cemetery, Bull's Head, Pottsville.
