Esther Mae (Krout) Lippy

YORK- Esther Mae (Krout) Lippy, 87, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016 at the Lutheran Retirement Village At Utz Terrace in Hanover. She was the wife of the late Charles W. Lippy. The couple spent 53 years of marriage together prior to Charles' passing in December 2003. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, is in charge of arrangements. Born March 14, 1929 in York, Esther was the daughter of the late Harvey H. and Anna M. (Gettys) Krout. Ester was a lifelong member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in York. Mrs. Lippy is survived by a son, Brian E. Lippy and his wife Alice of Hanover; three grandchildren, Allison Ward and her husband Chad of Mt. Joy, Ellen Hagerich and her husband Drew of Camp Hill, and Kirsten Lippy of York, and two great grandsons, Colton and Cayson Ward. Along with her husband and parents, Esther was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Lippy. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 839 W. Market Street, York, PA 17401.
