Esther M. (Beck) Kilburn

DOVER – Esther M. (Beck) Kilburn, 96, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles F. Kilburn. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 14, 2012 at Saint Paul Lutheran Church, 250 Trinity Rd., York with her pastors, The Rev. Sara A. and Rev. Paul W. Gausmann officiating. A viewing will be held from 1-2:00 PM Friday at the Church. Burial will be in St. Paul’s (Wolf’s) Union Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born February 11, 1916 in West Manchester Twp. a daughter of the late Harry E. and Minerva E. (Richcreek) Beck she had retired from Lutheran Social Services. Mrs. Kilburn enjoyed playing Canasta and 500 card games, knitting, and bowled until age 90. She was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church. Mrs. Kilburn is survived by a son, Donald E. Kilburn of York New Salem; a daughter, Dorothy M. and husband Gary Mann of Dover; six grandchildren, Donald Jr., Debra, Elizabeth, Charles, Wanda, and Sandy; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Harry Beck and a sister, Kathryn Cornell. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Paul Lutheran Church, 250 Trinity Rd., York, PA 17408.
