Esther L. Dando WILLIAMSPORT- Esther L. Dando, 92, of Williamsport, PA formerly of Pottsville died Friday evening at Valley View Nursing Center, Montoursville, Lycoming County, PA Mrs. Dando was born February 15, 1917, in Pottsville the daughter of the late William and Sarah Zerby Gauntlett. She attended Pottsville schools. Mrs. Dando was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pottsville. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles H. Dando,a daughter Judith Dando six sisters Anna May Brennan, Emma E. Newton, Priscilla Z. Horn, Sadie L. Curry, Dorothy C. Cody, and Olive Allen, four brothers William H., John, James M. and Theodore R. Gauntlett. Surviving are six daughters Nancy Bedway, wife of Albert, Manheim, PA, Barbara Yakamavage, Pottsville, Dorothy Novack, wife of Bernard, Grand Blanc, MI,Linda Doyne, Fayetteville, GA, wife of William,Cheryl Wesnoski, wife of James, Pottsville, and Terry Dando, Williamsport, PA; three sons Charles H. "Butch" Dando, husband of Jean, Mifflinburg, Richard F. Dando, husband of Donna, and Kevin Dando, husband of Beth, both of Pottsville; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Celebration of life services will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church, Fourth & West Market Street, Pottsville, PA. Family and friends may call at the church from 9:30 A.M. till 10:45 A.M. There will be no calling hours Tuesday evening and there will be no procession from the funeral home to the church. Interment Jerusalem Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven, PA.
