Esther A. Robinson

Wellsburg, New York Esther A. Robinson, Age 88 formally of North Chemung, NY passed away Sunday, April 26, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Elmira, NY following a lengthy illness. Esther was born May, 22, 1920 in Ousterhout, PA daughter of the late Oscar and Emma Rebecca Sickler. She was a graduate of Moody Bible College where she trained as a surgical nurse. She was married to the late Marvin Robinson. Esther worked at Arnot Ogden Hospital where she provided nursing care to terminally ill patients and also provided personal home nursing care. She attended Ousterhout Community Church and the Chemung First Baptist Church. Her memberships included the Rebecca's, Home Bureau and she enjoyed many crafts and spending time with her loving family. Survivors include her children Marvin & Susan Robinson of Sayre, PA, Ronald & Jeanette Robinson of Loganville, GA, Lynne J. Conklin of Elmira, NY, Neal M. & Lois Robinson of Lowman, NY, a brother and sister-in-law, Phillip & Gert Sickler of Hopbottom, PA, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Esther was predeceased by her parents, husband Marvin Robinson, infant son, Leon George Robinson, brothers, Oliver, Everett and Kenneth Sickler and her sister, Lena Clark. Family and friends are invited to call from 10 AM to 12 Noon on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY. Her funeral and committal service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 12 Noon with Pastor William Wells officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Elmira, NY.
