Estella M. "Dolly" Grimm

YORK - Estella M. “Dolly” Grimm, 100, passed away on Thursday June 24, 2021 at Pleasant Acres Nursing. Estella was the wife of the late Earl W. Grimm. A Celebration of Life Service will he held at 11:00AM on Tuesday June 29, 2021 at the Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory Inc., 35 Gotham Pl. Red Lion with Rev. Joseph Yorks officiating. There will be an hour of viewing prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born in Lower Windsor Township on April 9, 1921, Dolly was the daughter of the late Elmer and Anna (Axe) Hake. Mrs. Grimm worked as a cigar manufacturer for 20 years with Ambertip Cigar Factory. Dolly was a member at Salem United Methodist Church for many years. She helped the church sell crab cakes and soup to put an addition on the building. Estella loved to cook and bake but most of all she loved her family. She enjoyed many get-to-gethers with all the family spending time with each other. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Ray L. Grimm and his wife, Patricia of Windsor; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Grimm; grandson Andrew W. Grimm; brothers, Clair Hake, Stewart Hake, Ray Hake, sisters Ruth Smith, Mary Olphin and Emma Gilbert and Erma Frey.
