Erma M. (Monroe) Frey

WRIGHTSVILLE- Erma M. (Monroe) Frey, 83, passed away Monday, April 19, 2010 at Manor Care-Dallastown. She was the loving wife of the late Daniel W. Frey, Sr. A celebration of life service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2010 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with her pastor the Rev. Steven Schmuck officiating. A viewing will be held12:30-1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Rose cemetery. Mrs. Frey was born May 17, 1926 in Lower Chanceford Twp. a daughter of the late Reed and Olive (Harvey) Monroe. She was a former employee of Manor Care-Dallastown as an Alzheimer's Activities Director and worked for various sewing factories throughout the years. She also worked at Shurfine Supermarket and Weis Market. Mrs. Frey was an active member of Red Lion Bible Church. She was also a member of the Susquehanna Senior Center. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, shopping, meeting new people, and visiting the beaches in N.C. Mrs. Frey is survived by a son Daniel W. Frey, Jr. and wife, Linda J. of Wrightsville; a daughter Sharon Bennett and husband, Scott of Yohe; seven grandchildren, Greg, Jeff and Josh Frey, Roxanne Gibner, Shelley Creager, and Michael and Adam Dill; six great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; a brother Donald Monroe of York; a sister Helen Bolin of NC; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, David M. Frey; a brother, Wilmont Monroe; and sister, Mildred Myers. Memorial contributions may be made to Susquehanna Senior Center or American Cancer Society.
