Erma G. (Blouse) Spangler

DOVER – Erma G. (Blouse) Spangler, 90, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Manor Care – North. She was the wife of the late Robert S. Spangler. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 23, 2011 at Mount Rose Cemetery with The Rev. N. Patrick Teaford officiating. A procession will form at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion at 1:30 PM. Mrs. Spangler was born October 11, 1920 in Chanceford Twp., a daughter of the late Jennings B. and Carrie Catherine (Tome) Blouse. She had worked at the former South Pine Nightwear sewing factory and enjoyed quilting, making ceramics, and most importantly spending time with her family. Mrs. Spangler is survived by a daughter, Faye D. and husband Gary W. Rinker, Sr. of Dover; three grandchildren, Gary W. Rinker, Jr. and wife Wendy, Michael L. and wife Kimberly Rinker, and Bobbi Jo and husband Todd Lebo; seven grandchildren, Zachary, Christopher, Emily, Taylor, Hali, Austin, and Bailey; a stepbrother, Dick Helfrick of York; three half sisters, Nancy Myers and Linda Frey of York and Evelyn Krouse of Shiloh; a stepsister, Babe Blouse of York Haven; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Sweitzer and Paul Blouse; and a half brother, Charles Blouse.
