Erma E. (Grim) Tyson

Red Lion—Erma E. (Grim) Tyson, 95, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 at York Hospital. She was the wife of H. Vernon Tyson to whom she was married for 68 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11AM, Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at St. Paul (Lebanon) Lutheran Church, 6955 Rippling Run Rd, Felton. Officiating the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Kathleen A. Kuehl. Viewings will be held from 6-8PM, Monday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion and from 10-11AM, Tuesday at church. Burial will be held in Lebanon Lutheran Cemetery. Born January 21, 1923 in Red Lion, she was a daughter of the late Ralph A. and Bessie E. (Grove) Grim. She was a loving and dedicated homemaker for her family and previously worked at Red Lion Cabinet Company for 10 years. A member of St. Paul (Lebanon) Lutheran Church, she was also a 1941 graduate of Dallastown High School and a member of the Order of the Amaranth, Inc—Dr. J M Hyson Memorial. Mrs. Tyson is also survived by one son, Jerel B. Tyson; one daughter, Joyce E. Anderson and husband, William; one granddaughter, Jennifer Anderson and husband, Nick Lam; five sisters, Hilda Eyster, Treva Blouse, Faye Roth, Flo Hoffman and Phyllis Seitz and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Glenwood, Quentin and Hillard Grim.
