Erin Ann Mcdonough

YORK – Erin A. McDonough, 58, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at her home. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, July 6, 2015 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Gregory T. Miller officiating. A viewing will be held from 1-2:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh. Born January 23, 1957 in Beauregard, LA a daughter of the late John H. and Geraldine P. (McDonald) McDonough, she was employed by Penn-Mar Human Services for 20 years. Erin was very active with Special Olympics where she had won 115 medals. She also competed in the Summer Games that were held at Penn State for many years. Erin had received numerous “Excellence Awards” from her work at Comfort Inn Hotels and enjoyed working with the horses and making greeting cards at Leg Up Farm. Miss McDonough is survived by a sister, Michaela Tanner of Mechanicsville, MD; six brothers, Hayes McDonough of Cumberland, MD, Kevin McDonough of Oakland, MD, Shawn P. McDonough of Indianapolis, IN, Michael McDonough of Virginia Beach, VA, Shane M. McDonough of York, and Sean M. McDonough of York; and her Penn-Mar family, Bobbi Leckrone, Lesha Breighner, Patty Groff, Rita Arnett, Lisa Hartley, Denise Keiderling, Essence Kehr, Lydia Hurst, and Tiana Morrill.
