Erika A. (Pudell) Lehr

YORK – Erika A. (Pudell) Lehr, 93, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Country Meadows at Trolley Road. She was the wife of the late Dale E. Lehr. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 14, 2015 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with her pastor, The Rev. Beth Schlegel officiating. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 PM Monday at the Funeral Chapel. Private burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Erika was born on February 13, 1922 in Essen, Germany; a daughter of the late Alexander and Margaretha (Rember) Pudell. She met her husband Dale while he was stationed in Germany with the US Army. In 1947 they were married in Lichtenfels, Germany and she immigrated to the US when her husband returned from his foreign service. In York, Mrs. Lehr had worked for Futer Bros. Jewelers for 25 years.
