Dover - Eric O. Landis, 46 of Dover Township, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018. He was the husband of Tracy L. (Twitchell) Landis. The couple celebrated their 4th wedding anniversary on July 14, 2017 but have loved one another and shared their lives for the last fifteen years. Mr. Landis leaves his wife, Tracy Landis of Dover, a son, Pierce Gordon Landis of Warren, PA, his mother, Nancy Way Landis, and father Brian Landis of Arcade, NY and a sister Amanda Landis Dake of Rochester, NY, and two stepchildren Joshua, and Daniel Hutchins and five beloved cats. Mr. Landis was born in Buffalo, NY on July 24, 1971, the son of the Brian Landis and Nancy Way Landis of Arcade, NY. Mr. Landis had received his doctorate of Education/ Family Systems from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and was a nationally certified school psychologist. He was currently working as a school psychologist and special education master coach for the past 3 years at Helen Thackston Charter School in York, PA. Previously he had worked at New Hope Academy Charter School, Donegal Schools, and for Lincoln Intermediate Unit during his twenty plus years of his career. A visitation will be from 5-8 pm on May 11, 2018 and again on Saturday May 12, 2018 from 9-10:30 am with a celebration of life service to be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Road York, PA 17408. The family requests that if you attend the services that you come in bright colors with a happy memory or silly story of happier times with Eric to share. The service will be family and friend led.
