Enid (Hunter) Heaton

TROY- Enid (Hunter) Heaton, 87, of Troy, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. She was the loving wife of the late Herbert Heaton who passed away on August 12, 2013. The couple married September 27, 1947 and had 65 happy years together. Enid was born on July 4, 1926 in New Castle on Tyne, England, daughter of the late Thomas and Ada (Dolphin) Hunter. Enid, Herbert, and their family immigrated to the United States in May of 1967 where they first lived in Bronx, New York, then Howell, NJ. In 1978 Enid and Herbert bought land in Smithfield Township and began the process of building a home and moving their family to Bradford County. Later, Enid and Herbert moved to Troy, and then to Sherwood Personal Care Home. In the late 1980’s Enid and Herbert began studying the Bible and decided to be baptized as Jehovah’s Witnesses in June of 1990. She and Herbert enjoyed many activities with the congregation. Enid is survived by her sons; John and Paul Heaton and their families, her daughters; Sheila Foster and Janice Johnson and their families, along with her extended family and good friends. Enid’s parents and husband Herbert precede her in death. Services will be at the convenience of Enid’s family. The Gerald W.
