Emory E. Swartz

RED LION- Emory E. Swartz, Sr., 72, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Betty R. (Huson) Swartz. A Celebration of Life Service will be 3 p.m. on Friday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a viewing from 2-3 p.m. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Mr. Swartz was born in Stewartstown on July 25, 1935, a son of the late Russell and Caroline (Rhodes) Swartz. He worked as a truck driver for the former Brocker Rebar Company in York. He was a member of the Red Lion American Legion, Red Lion V.F.W. and the York Moose Lodge. Mr. Swartz leaves a son, Emory E. Swartz, Jr. of Red Lion, two daughters: Roxanne Snelbaker of Red Lion and Malinda Swartz of New Milford, PA, five grandchildren: Jacob and Jonathan Snelbaker, Joseph Giunta, Cody and Beth Ann Swartz, three great grandchildren: Tori, Blaine, and Lily, two brothers: Dale and Dean and four sisters: Evelyn, Ida, Elsie, and Louise.
