MILTON - Emmaline B. “Amy” (Barto) Brown, 80, died on Monday, June 6, 2011 at her residence. Emmaline was born on April 27, 1931 in Milton and was the daughter of the late George W. and Emmaline (Riale) Barto, Jr. She had graduated from Milton High School, class of 1950. On June 21, 1953, she married the late Herman R. “Brownie” Brown, who had died on April 18, 2009 and had celebrated 55 years as husband and wife. Emmaline was employed as a CSR Aide at Evangelical Community Hospital for 22 years before retiring on June 22, 1992. She had also worked at the Capital Theater as an usher, cashier and concession stand worker from 1945 to 1950 as well as working at Chef Boyardee, and Bolens department store. She was a life time member of the St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Milton and was a Sunday School teacher and helper, Jolly Girls Sunday School class as well as other numerous activities at the church. She was known at the church as “mom”. She was a member of the Ramblers Club, participated in the Kingdom Puppet Ministry as a propetter and doing newsletters and enjoyed word search puzzles, yahtzee, card games, bingo, traveling, family time and going to family reunions. She was always wanting to help. Emmaline is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law; Dwayne R. and Lucille Brown of Milton and Daniel E. Brown of Milton, two daughters and sons-in-law; Dana B. and Thomas Eisley of Mystic, CT and Danette L. and Steven Weikel of Mullica Hill, NJ, six grandchildren; Anthony S. Eisley and his wife Carly, Stephanie A. Eisley, Jason R. Brown, Jeremy W. Brown, Heather A. Weikel and Christopher S. Weikel, two great-grandchildren; Alyiah and Gabriel Brown, one brother and sister-in-law; Reverend George W. and Suella Barto, III of Mechanicsburg, two nieces; Patricia Massa and her husband George and Susan Barto, one nephew; Neil Barto and his wife Megan and three great nieces and one great nephew. There will be a public viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2011 at the St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 102 Lower Market St., Milton, PA 17847 and again from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the church where the funeral will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Dale Hippensteel will officiate the services. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery, Milton. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Andrews United Methodist Church, or Kingdom Kids Puppet Ministry, Inc., 801 Shakespeare Ave., Milton, PA 17847 or to the Evangelical Home Health Hospice, 1 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17847. Arrangements are being handled by The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton, PA 17847.
