Emma Klineyoung

YORK- Emma "June" (Ball) Klineyoung, 79, passed away peacefully at York Hospital on Tuesday, November 10, 2009. She was the loving wife of the late Earl L. Klineyoung, to whom she was married to for 57 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 13, 2009 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, with her pastor, the Reverend Dr. S. Phillip Covert officiating. A visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Klineyoung was born on June 14, 1930 in Grassy Creek, N.C., and as a baby, moved to Street, Md. She was a daughter of the late Gordon and Nannie (Blevins) Ball. Emma graduated in 1948 from Havre de Grace High School in Havre de Grace, Md. Mrs. Klineyoung was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, where she was a Stephen Minister. Emma worked as a teacher's aide for the Lincoln Intermediate Unit, in the cafeteria at York City School District and in various other jobs throughout her life. Her most treasured times were those she spent with her children and grandchildren. She loved coming up with fun things to do with them and indulging them all the time. She also enjoyed gardening and exercising at the J.C.C. Mrs. Klineyoung is survived by a son, Ronald E. Klineyoung of York; two daughters, Debra N. Ross and husband, David of Pittsburgh, and Diane S. Markey and husband Brad of York; four grandchildren, Abigail, Erin, Nathan, and Garrett; one brother, Jack Ball of S.C.; two sisters, Ruby Bartlett and Betty Jo Dillon, both of Md.; and a beloved dog, Muffin. Preceding her in death was three brothers and 10 sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, 340 East Market St., York, PA 17403.
