Emma C. (Trimmer) Trainor

YORK – Emma C. (Trimmer) Trainor, 82, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015 at ManorCare Health Services York-North. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Trainor, to whom she was married since 1950. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. A visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born September 13, 1932 in Foustown, she was a daughter of the late Walter E. and Mary M. (Lytle) Trimmer. Emma proudly received her G.E.D. in 1985. Mrs. Trainor enjoyed her time helping others as a Home Health Aid, and above all else, she loved and was proud of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchild. She was a member of the Grace and Hope Mission in York. Mrs. Trainor is survived by two sons, Thomas E. Trainor and wife Carol, and Joseph M. Trainor and girlfriend Beverly Romich, both of York; one sister, Cynthia A. Markle and boyfriend Bill Ebbings of Dover; six grandchildren, Kelli Bain and fiancé Jay Baum of Mt. Wolf, Jamie Layton and Krista Trainor, both of East York, Tyler Klunk, Kimberly Markle and Angela Ebbings, both of Dover; eight great grandchildren, Devon, Brady, Alexis, Alassa, Andrew, Aliyah, Barry, Carson; one great great grandchild, Chase; one brother, Jack Trimmer and wife Gloria of Strinestown; two sisters, Donna Housseal of Dover and Ruth Fahs of York; and her close friend and companion, Charles Rojohn. She was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Grace and Hope Mission, 119 North George Street, York, PA 17401.
