Emma A. (Dennis) Bahn

YORK- Emma A. (Dennis) Bahn, 94, died on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Country Meadows, Leaders Heights. She was the wife of the late Chalmers W. “Dutch” Bahn who died on April 14, 2014. The couple had been married for 64 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with Reverend Dr. Leon Via, III officiating. A visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. Born on December 1, 1921 in York, she was a daughter of the late George Weigle and Emma (Weigle) Dennis. Emma was a homemaker and also worked at The York Caramel Company. Mrs. Bahn was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church. Emma enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and keeping herself busy doing needlepoint, cross stitch and rug braiding. Mrs. Bahn is survived by her daughter, Norma J. Brown and husband, Carl Jr. of York; two grandchildren, Rhonda J. Deppen and husband, Tim of York and Troy Rupert of Bohannon, VA; one great granddaughter, Larissa A. Deppen; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 16 brothers and sisters.
