PITTSTON-Emily L. Morgan, 80, of Pittston, passed away Monday morning, March 30, 2009. She was born on July 29, 1928 in Savannah, Georgia. Mrs. Morgan was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church and the I.L.G.W.U. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Leslie Fay as a machine operator for over 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Morgan, who passed away on June 11, 1973; birthmother Annie Mae Haynes Allen; adoptive parents James and Luella Green Williams; sister Alice; twin sister, Lula; and brother Rufus Williams. Surviving are her daughters, Gloria J. Tucker of Shavertown; Shirley A. Morgan of Roslyn; grandchildren, Felicia Williams and her husband, Willie; Anthony Tucker and his wife, Daenel; great-grandchildren Dominique, Gabrielle, Nicholas, Narieka, Symone, Jazmine, Brandon and Bryanna; great great-grandchildren, Samiya and Woodrow; sister Mary Triplin, Washington, DC; brother, Elder Leroy Allen, Jr., Washington DC; former son-in-law, George A. Tucker; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 4, 2009 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. The Reverend Wallace Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
