RED LION – Emerson L. Craley, 80, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Catherine R. (Shaw) Craley to whom he was married for 60 years. Family and friends are invited to gather for a graveside service at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 2, 2015 at St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery, 2666 Furnace Road, Felton. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born May 2, 1934 in Chanceford Twp., a son of the late Walter and Helen (Oberlander) Craley, he retired as a Supervisor from Chanceford Township. Emerson had also worked on the Charles Craley Farm for many years. He was a member of New Bridgeville Fire Company, Collinsville Fish and Game, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Craley was a US Army Veteran. In addition to his wife Catherine, Mr. Craley is survived by a sister, Elaine M. Klinedinst of York; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Ethel Flaharty, Erma Grothe, and Fern Craley. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church, 2666 Furnace Rd., Felton, PA 17322 or to New Bridgeville Fire Co., 2870 Furnace Rd., Red Lion, PA 17356.
