Elwood L. Miller

YORK - Elwood L. Miller, 96, died Monday, January 14, 2008, at Colonial Manor Nursing and Rehab Center. He was the husband of the late Grace (Witmer) Miller. Funeral services and burial will be private. Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Miller was born August 25, 1911 in Brillhart Station, a son of the late Matilda Miller. He retired from Campbell Chain Company after 40 years of service. He was a former member of the both the Hawks Gunning Club and Pleasureville American Legion, Post 799. Mr. Miller is survived by two sister-in-laws, Mary Kibler and Emma Everhart both of York; and a brother-in-law, Charles Witmer of York. He was preceded in death by a stepsister, Catherine Leicht; and two stepbrothers, Richard and Andrew Kibler. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
