WATSONTOWN - Elwood L. Miller, 90, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 17, 1924 in Montgomery and was the son of the late Raymond J. and Mary Alice (Temple) Miller. Elwood served his country during World War II in the United States Army and earned a Purple Heart. On October 06, 1944 Elwood married the late Vera G. (Schenck) and they had celebrated 69 years of marriage together until her death on November 27, 2013. He had worked for Darling Valve of Williamsport and Sprout & Walters of Muncy. Elwood also worked on his family farm. Elwood was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed animals, farming, gardening, cooking, working with his hands to make and grow things and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that was in need. Elwood was a good family man that was proud of his family and took care of his wife and children. Elwood is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law; Bonnie L. Dotts of Dewart and Linda J. Miller and Tony King of Tennessee, two grandchildren; Samuel Dotts, Jr. of Montgomery and Yvonne and her husband Richard Radgoski of Poconos and two great grandchildren; Ryan and Colin Radgoski. In addition to his parents and wife, Elwood was preceded in death by one daughter; Connie Dotts, one son-in-law; Renny Dotts, four brothers; John, Wilbur, Raymond and Clark Miller and two sisters; Margaret Ranck and Alice Mat. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Susquehanna Home Hospice, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701 A public viewing will be held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street, Milton followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m., with Chaplain Dave Fishel of Susquehanna Home Hospice officiating. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
