Elsie Emily Sprouse

YORK – Elsie Emily (Jobe) Sprouse, 89, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024 at York Hospital.

Born June 29, 1935 in Clarksville, TN; a daughter of the late Robley Newell and Ferne E. (Dykes) Jobe, Emily was a public school librarian in Manchester, TN; Riyadh, Saudia Arabia; and Charlotte, NC. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Emily enjoyed reading and researching genealogy.

Mrs. Sprouse is survived by a son, J. Andrew Sprouse and wife Dawn Wagenknecht of Tampa, FL; two daughters, Laura S. Noselli of East Petersburg, PA and Deseret F. “Deedee” Ferris of Provo, UT; five grandchildren, Caitlin Emily Noselli, Daniel J. Sprouse, M. Jaemin Sprouse, Shannon Brodbeck, and Jacob Ferris; four great grandchildren, Madalynn Brodbeck, Emily Brodbeck, Truett Sprouse, and Jane Ferris. She was preceded in death by a sister, Robley E. Guy. She was preceded in death by her beloved son in law Joseph B. Noselli. 

Private Tribute Services will be held in Clarksville, TN. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements.
