YORK- Elsie P. (Bull) Lentz, 81, of York, passed away peacefully at her home in the presence of family at 3:45 pm, April 22, 2007. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Thursday at Bible Baptist Church, 4190 Susquehanna Trail North, York, a visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. at the church. The Reverend Kevin Trout will be officiating at the service. Arrangements are being handled by Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York. Elsie was born on June 22, 1925, in Codorus Township, York County, a daughter of the late James T. and Sybil A (Ludwig) Bull. She was employed by the former American Insulator as a Press Operator for 30 years before her retirement, sold Amway and Avon, worked for V.N.A./Hospice as a Nursing Assistant from 1980 to 1998, and was a senior companion until she retired in 2003. She loved music and playing her guitar whenever she could. She loved singing the old hymns and collecting elephants. She was a member of the New Freedom V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary post 7012. She leaves to cherish her memory, five children, Nancy M. Tawney of Red Lion, James M. Wineholt of Durango, CO., Katherine V. Krebs of York, Carol Ann McCleary of York, and Larry E. Krebs; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild; four sisters, Rosina Gemmil of Hanover, Hazel Ward of Seven Valleys, Dorothy Hoffman of Hanover, and Marie Yoder of Winston- Salem, N.C., and a brother, B. Edward Bull of Glen Rock. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Sandy K. Krebs and Pamela J. Krebs, a granddaughter, Trista Star Wineholt, two brothers, Norman Bull and Ernest Bull and a sister, Margaret E. Grasik . She touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924 N. Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403 and/ or VNA/ Hospice Services, 218 Market St., York, PA 17403.
