SOUTH RENOVO - Elsie M. (Lucas) Crossley, 97, a former resident of North Bend passed away, Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Bucktail Medical Center, S. Renovo. She was born August 23, 1919 in North Bend a daughter of the late Orrie and Lena (Ross) Lucas. Elsie was married on July 16, 1940 to Charles H. Crossley who preceded her in death May 14, 2015. They celebrated 74 years of marriage together. Surviving are two daughters, Mary E. (L. James) Stahl of Renovo and Patricia Bibey of North Bend. Six grandchildren, Chuck, Richard, Gina, Angela, Gary and Jolene. Nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandson Connor. One sister Carmin Spirnock of Tallahassee, FL. and two brothers Kenneth Lucas of Maryland and George Lucas of Brookhaven, PA. In addition to her husband and parents a brother Orrie Lucas and a sister Elizabeth Lambert preceded her in death. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St., Renovo with the Rev. Donald Dusza officiating. Friends and relatives will be received one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hyner. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Bucktail Medical Center, 1001 Pine St. S. Renovo, PA 17764.
