Dover- Eloise Catherine (Minnich) Dubs, 98, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Providence Place in Dover. She was the wife of the late Lewis (Bill) Raymond Dubs.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at noon on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene, 400 Stillmeadow Lane in York. Her pastor, The Reverend Josh Kleinfeld will be officiating at the service. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, PA is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Mrs. Dubs was born in York, PA on March 19, 1927, the daughter of the late Reuben S. and Grace R. (Walters) Minnich. She worked as a school nurse for the Spring Grove Schools. Prior to that she worked as a nurse in the recovery room at York Hospital.

Mrs. Dubs was a 1943 graduate of William Penn Senior High. She received a Bachelor’s degree from York College and her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in nursing from Millersville University. When she graduated, she received the Florence Nightingale Nursing award.

She was a member of Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene since 1957. She served as the nurse for many church camps and went on several missionary trips to many countries. She was a volunteer at Inova Fairfax Hospital’s Treasure Trove Resale Shop in Springfield, VA for over 25 years. She was recognized by the hospital Auxiliary for volunteering 3,500 hours, helping to raise funds for the Heart Institute, Women and Children’s Hospital and Cancer Centers.

Mrs. Dubs leaves a daughter, Toni E. Porter and her husband Jerry of Argyle, TX; a son, David L. Dubs and his wife Annette of Annandale, VA; three grandchildren, Kevin and Andrew Dubs and William Porter; four great grandchildren, Connor and Claire Dubs and Benjamin and Nathaniel Porter; and a sister, Barbara J. Hardwick of Ft. Myers, FL. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack E. Minnich; a sister, Marlene A. Gladfelter; a granddaughter, Amy Jo Porter; and a grandson, Stephen L. Dubs.
