Eloise Alice (Jones) Cummings

TROY- Eloise Alice (Jones) Cummings, 89, of Troy, PA passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Sylvan Ridge Personal Care Home in Troy. Family and friends are welcome to gather for a time of visitation from 3:30-4:30 PM on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA. The memorial service to honor Eloise’s life will be held immediately following the visitation at the funeral home with Rev. David Dressler of Bakersburg Community Church officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Glenwood Cemetery. Eloise was born on March 18, 1923 in Corning, NY daughter of the late Lyman and Cherrie (Pierce) Jones. She was an x-ray technician for many years at the Troy Hospital. Eloise was a member of Eastern Star, was a den mother for the local Cub Scout troop, was a member of the Troy Hospital Auxiliary, and was United Methodist by faith. Eloise is survived by her sons: Roy W. (Kim) Cummings, Jr., Lee P. (Nancy) Cummings, and Gary R. (Doris) Cummings, all of Troy, her grandchildren: Chip (Mary) Cummings, Scott Cummings and his friend Michele, Jay (Maria) Cummings, Rochelle (Vaughn) Kendall, Doug (Jennifer) Cummings, Amy (David) Wilkes, Corrie Cummings, and Casine Cummings, her great grandchildren: Jacob, Justin, Jay, Aahleisia, Ashley, Evan, Laura, Katie, Delaney, Corbin, Hailey, Kara, Owen, Kennedy, and Morgan, along with several nieces and nephews. Eloise was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters: Dorothy, Marion, and Sylvia, and her brothers Ronald and Phillip.
