Elois L. (Shaffer) Spangler

WELLSVILLE - Elois L. (Shaffer) Spangler, 82, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Manor Care North. She was the wife of the late Charles A. Spangler. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 8:00 PM Monday, May 17, 2010 at Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry. A viewing will be held from 7-8:00 PM Monday at the Funeral Home with Rev. William C. Sowers officiating. Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Suburban Memorial Gardens, 3875 Bull Rd, Dover. Family and friends will meet at 9:45AM Tuesday at the entrance of the cemetery. Mrs. Spanger was born on February 23, 1928 in Washington, DC; a daughter of the late Boyd C. and Mabel G. (Newland) Shaffer. She loved reading and writing poetry and spending time with her family. Mrs. Spangler is survived by a son, Randall J. Spangler, Sr. of Denver, CO; two daughters, Cindy A. and husband Jim Starke of Wilkes-Barre and Valerie J. and husband Jim Howard of Rossville; four grandchildren, Melissa A. and husband John Venable, Jr. of Manchester, Randall Spangler, Jr. of Wellsville, Jacinta and husband Randy Leister of Dillsburg, and Crystal and husband Benjamin Schumacher, III of Felton; six great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; one great great grandchild with another on the way; and seven step great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Irvin J. Shaffer.
