Elmer M. Wertz, Jr.

SOUTH RENOVO - Elmer M. Wertz, Jr., 67, passed away, Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at his residence. He was born March 13, 1945 in Renovo the son of the late Elmer M. Wertz, Sr. and Selma C. (Levander) Elmer retired from Lee Thompson Trucking as a mechanic and welder. He enjoyed playing eucher. He was a member of Zion’s Lutheran Church. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam Era. Surviving are two sisters Esther Guizar of S. Renovo and Jean (Lee) Woomer of Howard. Two nieces Leanne (Kent) Young and Bobbi Guizar and her companion David Brookens, five nephews Jerry Guizar, Jr., David (Karen) Guizar, Jon (Leah) Guizar, Michael Woomer and Stewart Woomer also several great nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, Renovo with the Rev. John Harwood officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.
