Elmer Boyd Staats

WASHINGTON, DC - Elmer Boyd Staats, 97, died Saturday, July 23, 2011. He was the husband for 52 years to the late Margaret (Rich) Staats, who predeceased him in April 1992. Devoted father of David Rich Staats (Sarasota FL) Deborah Staats Sanders (McLean, VA) and Catherine Staats Taubman (Breckenridge, CO). Grandfather of Ellen Staats Recine (Denver CO), Diana Staats Quaden (Denver, CO), Hilary Blair Staats Sanders (McLean, VA) and one great-granddaughter Lila Anabelle Recine. He was the last living of eight siblings. A graveside service will be held 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Woolrich Cemetery with Pastor William Anderson officiating.
