Ellen M. (McDaniel) Wolf

YORK- Ellen M. (McDaniel) Wolf, 80, left this earth to meet her Father in Heaven on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at her residence. She was the wife of Jeffrey L. Wolf to whom she was married 47 years.

A private family service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with Certified Celebrant Allison Duke officiating. A private family viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Private burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Born on August 28, 1943 in Millville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Nettie (Garrett) McDaniel. Ellen was a homemaker and was proud of her years employed at Green’s Dairy and Thrift Drug.

Mrs. Wolf was a member of the former Temple Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed flounder fishing, playing bingo and was a very particular housekeeper. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family.

Along with her husband, Jeff, Ellen is survived by her son, Gary Gilberthorp, Jr. and his partner, Tracey Schmauch of Newport; two daughters, Denise Billet of Manchester and Summer Green and her partner, Tony Fletcher of Red Lion; two grandchildren, Amanda Hilliar and her husband, Ryan of Dillsburg and Andrew Billet of Manchester; three great grandchildren, Kaelyn Savinon, Zerabella Billet and Tony Fletcher, Jr.; two brothers, Frank McDaniel of Manchester and Steve McDaniel of Virginia; and parents-in-law, Ed and Marian Cosgrove of York. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gregory McDaniel.
