Ellen M. (Barshinger) Baer

Ellen M. (Barshinger) Baer, 95, died on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Clifford E. Baer who died in May of 1995. The couple had been married for 54 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with Pastor Sterling Trimmer officiating. A visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born on August 9, 1925 in York, she was a daughter of the late Latimer T. and Flora M. (Ludwig) Barshinger. Ellen was a homemaker who was devoted to her family. Mrs. Baer was a member of Arlington EC Church in Red Lion. Ellen is survived by two sons, Clifford Baer, Jr. and his wife, Donna of Nokomis, FL and Dennis Baer and his wife, Deborah of Dallastown; daughter, Dawn Miller and her husband, David of York; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Becker of York. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Barshinger and Purd Barshinger; and sister, Sara Keller.
